The full story — nothing left out.
The Reality Check
Before enrolling in any course, I sat a cold diagnostic. The result: 565 — 56th percentile. Foundational knowledge existed, but no structure, no approach, no system. I knew right then this was going to require real work.
Finding the Right Structure
After deep research on GMAT Club, I enrolled in Target Test Prep. Even in just a few weeks, the shift in how I approached problems — especially Quant — was immediate. Not shortcuts. Actual conceptual understanding.
The Grind: 4–5 Hours, Every Single Day
I resumed preparation and committed completely. Not every day when I felt motivated — every day, period. The study plan removed all guesswork. I always knew what to work on. Error logs, analytics, honest mistake analysis.
First Official Exam: 675
A massive leap — 95th percentile. But my mocks were ranging 675–725. I knew I hadn't hit the ceiling. I stepped back, refocused, and prepared for one more attempt.
Five Days. One Goal. 735.
I signed up with only five days' notice. No new material — just reviewed every past mistake and focused entirely on execution. I walked into the test center calm. The exam felt familiar. The result was not.
